Have You Said Thank You Today?

We human beings are always acknowledging the bad things that occur to us in our daily life and paying less attention to the positive things. People are getting very good at complaining: like when the weather is too cold or too hot, when we're stuck in the middle of traffic, when the food is poorly served, basically when things don't go the way we want it.

We often forget how blessed we are. We have have a home to live in, clothes to protect us from the weather, food to fill our hunger. Don't forget things that always there and yet always forgotten: we are given eyes to see, ears to hear, mind to think, and so on, and mostly chance to live life.

As we look around the world, there are more unfortunate people than us: people who lost their homes and family from earthquake, people who were born without certain body parts, people who never have a chance to get to know their parents etc. So, how can we still complain about our misfortunes?

Life is about making choices. We have chances to make things and to feel better. We can choose to stop sweating the small stuff, instead, concentrating on positive things that God has given us. We can start by getting used to say thank you everyday on all the small things you can think of. Mostly, say thank you to The One who creates all those things. So, have you said 'thank you' to God today?

Harem / Peg trousers
